For those of you interested in my new “adventure” here’s where I’ll be posting the latest and greatest information on my attempt to get in shape for a figure competition. My hope is that other females interested in pursuing this same goal might find the posts on here useful as well and perhaps inspire them to do great things in the fitness world. I know most of you just wanted to hear about my meal plan, my workouts and my overall experience for these next 12 months. I hope I can entertain, inform, amuse, and maybe even educate you on how this all goes down. I’ll be posting progress pics in a few weeks and throughout so we can see how my body changes. I’m also hoping my family and close friends can read up on this as well because I’m going to need a ton of support along the way. No one close to me or in my inner circle of friends has ever done one of these competitions before so this is going to be a learning experience for all of us.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to tell your friends, other fitness enthusiasts, colleagues, blogger buddies and anyone else you think might be interested in reading up on my Fit to Figure journey.

Aww thanks John! I appreciate the kudos. I promise it won’t be too girly for you to follow ha! I will attempt to add my sarcasm into my entries too (how can I not?) to keep everyone entertained. 🙂
I’m so excited to follow your journey! And don’t worry about the heels, you’ll be a pro in no time. Lol, keep us posted!
Good luck on your journey, I can’t wait to follow! I’m sure you will do great, and the support is important, I understand the sacrifices that need to be made.
I was doing google searches for a figure competition coach in the Cleveland area and found your blog. I’ve been interested in competing for a while but have been hesitant about actually committing, since I feel like I don’t really know where to start, and I don’t want to pour money into something like this until I feel ready to make it a priority. Can’t wait to see how your first competition goes!
Hey Christy! Thanks for commenting! I completely understand your hesitation. I had originally thought giving myself 6 months to train would be enough time for a competition but smarter people than me educated me on the time it takes to do this so I figured a year would suffice. I do hope I gave myself enough time but no matter what, I’m just trying to enjoy the process. 🙂
My coach is Mike Davies in Columbus. I couldn’t find a local coach here in Cleveland and Mike was recommended to me by a friend. I am happy to be the guinea pig until you decide if competing is right for you. I hope my posts inspire people to at least think of competing as a potential goal, especially those who just want to do it for fun (like me) and no intentions of doing it long-term/winning/etc. Although those are good goals, I tend to err on the side of “cautiously optimistic” when it comes to this. Thanks for following and feel free to comment on any posts you feel are relevant to you! I love hearing from followers. 🙂
